Discovering farm animals and developing curiosity, vocabulary and understanding of how we care for living things.

Year 1 — Black History Museum
Exploring Black history, learning about people’s lives and contributions, and developing respect for our diverse communities

Year 2 — Twycross Zoo
Learning about animals, habitats and conservation, and considering how we can help care for the natural world.

Year 2 — Pagoda in Edgbaston
Learning about Buddhism and exploring a different place of worship, encouraging curiosity, respectful questions and understanding of other people’s beliefs and traditions.

Year 6 — Cadbury World
Exploring the story of chocolate and making connections with history, geography and the journey from cocoa bean to finished product.

Year 6 — St Chad’s Cathedral
Supporting children’s Confirmation preparation by deepening their understanding of faith, the role of the cathedral and their belonging to the wider Catholic community.
